Description
THE YEAR IS 1892.
As an occult researcher, you’ve discovered a book of sigils offering glimpses beyond the mortal veil. In doing so, however, something from that realm has tangled you in its dark thread.
You have just one hope of severing yourself from this evil: a fellow occult researcher whose letters, experiments, and observations inspired your own investigations.
Reach out to them, lean on their expertise, and pray it’s enough to help you escape the ever-encroaching darkness.

Threads of the Occult is a letter-writing game where players take on the roles of 19th century occult researchers.
Over the course of four letters, players will create and alter a custom sigil, roleplaying their characters’ discoveries, set-backs, and reactions to the terrors that unfold.

- play two-player via traditional mail or take on the roles of both occult researchers for solo play
- design and modify a custom sigil as you play, producing a keepsake to remember what transpired
- unique prompts and spark tables to fuel your letter-writing without stifling your creativity
- human-made without the use of generative AI
Huge thanks to Brit Gardner, Gravy Press, M. Allen Hall, and Exeunt Press for developmental feedback.
